Reengineering End-Of-Life Batteries

Green Volta can revive all end-of-life lead-acid batteries. However, to ensure consistent battery quality for our clients, we filter out batteries that do not meet two specific criteria. These criteria are the remaining discharge voltage level and the specific gravity level of the electrolyte within the battery.

Many battery recycling companies use 11.9V as the threshold for determining whether a car battery is to be discarded. However, Green Volta’s technology can revive end-of-life batteries with a discharge voltage as low as 10.0V. Our approach focuses on dissolving the formed sulfates rather than simply recharging the battery. As a result, our revived batteries recover over 95% of their original performance when new and, more importantly, do not have the fully formed sulfates that are often still present in recharged batteries. This crucial difference between revived and recharged batteries leads to two significant benefits: an extended lifespan and more consistent performance.

The process of reengineering the battery is straightforward and accessible. Becoming a battery reengineer does not require deep knowledge about batteries because this is made possible by Telomere technology, which plays a crucial role in reviving batteries, along with a comprehensive job manual provided to guide the process.

The reengineered batteries provide 3 advantages compared to the original battery. They are 50% cost-saving, have the same lifespan, and offer a better warranty program.

Reengineered Energy Storage System

This will be executed from 2028 because Green Volta will focus on Reengineering the EOL batteries in the first 3 years.

This is the application of reengineering battery technology to high-capacity waste batteries to make customised ESS.

There are four unique selling points compared to competing products:

▶ Various models can be custom-made through cell unit reassembly

▶ Performance monitoring is applied to each battery

▶ The lifespan of the RESS is increased through cell unit replacement

▶ It has over 50% lower cost competitiveness compared to any new type of ESS.

Comprehensive Business Development Plan

1st Step: By using electronic forklift battery

▶ Manufacturing from 3kWh for an individual house to 10, 20, 50kWh for small business place or low-rise building.

▶ Electric forklift batteries can be manufactured from 48volts 400amp (20kWh) to 800amp (40kWh)

▶ The capacity can be increased through series and parallel connections.

▶ Developing auxiliary equipment to supply DC power directly without AC conversion for EV charging.

2nd Step: Reuse With Us

▶ Manufacturing box-type RESS that can be connected to solar power for use as an industrial electricity-saving device.

▶ RESS (100~900 kWh) for factories, smart farms, and apartments to save electricity and for EV charging stations.

▶ Configuring the device by combining high-capacity electric forklift batteries and UPS batteries.

3rd Step: Utilization of waste UPS batteries that are regularly discharged in large quantities

▶ Manufacturing and supplying Super-RESS storage devices for high-capacity electricity users such as AI & Non-AI data centers and Bitcoin mining companies.

▶ 20 to 40 feet container-type storage devices for storing 2,000~7,000 kWh.

4th Step: Uninterrupted Power Supply

▶ Developing self-generating Photovoltaic-RESS linked with the installation of solar power plants.

▶ Shopping Mall Rooftop and Parking Lot

▶ Areas with power shortages (under-developed countries, factory, smart farm) or regions requiring emergency electricity use due to war or natural disasters.

▶ POC projects under discussion with one smart farm and one factory in Korea.

Recycling Batteries and CO2 Emissions: A Case for Green Volta's Innovative Approach

In 2023, approximately 24.7 billion pounds of lead-acid batteries were recycled globally, resulting in the emission of 1.2 to 1.9 billion kilograms of CO2 during the recycling process. If we were to revive an equivalent amount of batteries, it could generate 22.4 million metric tons with an estimated economic value of around $1.12 billion.

Green Volta's Pioneering Carbon Credit Initiative

Green Volta is the first company in the industry to introduce carbon credit generation from end-of-life batteries. We have already initiated the process to obtain a legitimate certificate from a recognized organization through our carbon credit agency. While it will take some time to fully establish the process and requirements for our solution, the potential benefits are significant.

Maximizing the Value of Carbon Credits

Our company is equipped to leverage the earned carbon credits in various ways. For example, we can list the earned carbon credits on our balance sheet and hold them until the RE100 initiative takes effect, as carbon credit prices are expected to rise at that time. This strategy could yield transactional or valuation profits. For our B2B clients, we offer a service to earn carbon credits through our battery reviving service. After taking a portion of the carbon credits as a commission, the remaining credits will be delivered to the clients, as the revived batteries belong to them.

Distinctive Value Proposition

This unique added value sets Green Volta apart from traditional battery recycling companies, distinguishing us as a leader in the reviving battery sector.

Telomere Sales

A Crucial Component for Green Volta

Green Volta is planning to distribute Telomere to selected partners, whom the company will engage to develop a battery reuse ecosystem in the United States by 2028, with global expansion planned for 2029.
